Our history. A family business with tradition!
A family business with tradition for over 67 years!
The Karawankenblick Inn on the Pyramidenkogel in Keutschach is a family-run business with a long tradition. We place great emphasis on quality, regionality, hospitality, specialty weeks, and international dishes. Christian Schaschl's parents and Christoph Schaschl's grandparents opened the former café in 1957, and it has undergone numerous renovations and new constructions since its founding.

History from 1960 to 2020
In recent years, we have continually made renovations and additions to accommodate the ever-growing number of guests. We can now guarantee plenty of seating for day visitors, buses, and celebrations of all kinds. Below, we would like to give you a brief overview.

With the support of the Bergler Eisschützen, we built the artificial ice rink in 1995.
In 2006, the groundbreaking ceremony for our new dining room and bar area took place. Particular attention was paid to accessibility during the new construction. Our guesthouse at Pyramidenkogel in Keutschach now boasts two dining rooms and a rustic farmhouse parlor.
In 2010, we updated the kitchen, which now features induction cooktops, grills, convection ovens, and much more. Thanks to an emergency generator, we can continue operating even in the event of a power outage.
At the end of the 2014/2015 winter season, our Bauernstüberl was redesigned and, in addition to its quiet, relaxed atmosphere, now also offers space for 30 – 35 people.
In 2017, part of our roof area was equipped with a photovoltaic system and the Karawankenblick artificial ice rinks were completely renovated and are now ready for curling again in the winter months.
At the turn of the year 2020, the business was handed over to the son of the house and Christian Schaschl, ´´KOKE 1´´, retired after 32 years of self-employment
